How Did Jeff Lerner Become A Millionaire?
We’ve found a piece of news from Yahoo Finance. Here Jeff Lerner explained how he overcome his debt and become a Multimillionaire.
“I was depressed, overweight, broke jazz musician in 2008, hiding from creditors in my ex-wife’s parents’ spare bedroom and faced bankruptcy with about $500,000 in debt. Then I discovered an online business.” Jeff clarifies.
However, he had many talks with people about their businesses and what had made them successful during his time as a pianist. He made the decision to follow in his footsteps. His desire to be an entrepreneur was not new, but now that he was backed into a corner, he was ready to make it his full-time job. Unfortunately, getting there was not an easy task.
“During this time, I performed at many wealthy business people’s homes, including numerous billionaires, and I made it a point to ask the hosts about their lives and careers. These discussions encouraged me to establish my own business, and throughout my 20s, I tried to earn more money than I did as a piano musician by launching one after another. I was over half a million dollars in debt at 29 years old, with a damaged hand and scarcely able to play because of recurrent business failures. I’d taken out hundreds of thousands of dollars in debts to start two restaurant franchises, and I was working ten hours a day to keep the businesses going while simultaneously playing gigs. My businesses and my entire life were coming apart in 2007, in the midst of the Great Recession,” Jeff remembers.
Following his initial defeat, Jeff experienced a spectacular comeback. He discovered a new passion for affiliate marketing, which led to incredible success. After that, he decided to start his own company so that individuals might have a one-stop-shop for realizing their ambitions. Jeff benefited greatly from several mentors throughout his life, one, in particular, helping him overcome his initial challenges.
“During that time, I got an education in business management that no MBA program could have ever provided.” I was trying to handle a crazy Internet company with over 80 people (and a leader who was mostly checked out) with just myself and this consultant trying to create systems and processes that would not just keep everything running but actually improve it. I learned more about managing people, culture, change, and expectations than I could have learned in a textbook, and I had a brilliant business consultant advising me on which method to use in whatever case and why. Tom Bardeen was the consultant’s name.
Years later, when I was expanding my digital agency and for the first time being nominated to the Inc. 5000, it hit me how profoundly Tom had influenced my life. I attempted to contact him by phone to express my gratitude for his influence on me, but instead, I discovered his relatives, who informed me that he had died. “I hope he realizes how appreciative I am for his guidance,” Jeff recalls.
He now aims to be a mentor and inspiration to others in the same way that Tom was to him. His suggestion to people who want to establish their own enterprises is to seek guidance from successful people.
“Only learn from those who are as successful (or more) in both business and life,” Jeff suggests.
From the moment he gained his stride, nothing about Jeff’s quick rise to stardom has slowed. He went on to establish a family, acquire an MBA, manage over 80 employees, and start his own company “Entre Institute” to assist others in achieving their own goals. Jeff has no intention of slowing down any time soon. After overcoming obstacles, he has proved that everything is possible if you have a positive outlook and are not scared to try again. He intends to expand his business and do much more in the future year.
“I want to grow ENTRE to $100 million in revenue, start a software company, and write my book,” Jeff says.
